At Zarate Labradors, we prioritize the future happiness and health of every puppy we place in a new home. We are Committed to the Well-Being of Your Puppy. Below are the terms and conditions of our guarantee.
Health Evaluation: The puppy must be taken to a veterinarian of your choice for a health evaluation within 72 hours of taking possession. The cost of this veterinary check is the responsibility of the new owner.
Hip/Elbow and Eye Guarantee: A copy of the findings from the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) must be provided to us for our records. The OFA will be the sole authority in determining hip dysplasia (a second opinion may also be requested) and will also evaluate any eye defects, considering the results regarding RD/OSD and/or PRA.
Early Spay/Neuter: Your veterinarian may recommend spaying or neutering your puppy at a young age, sometimes as early as four months. We have provided information highlighting the potential negative effects of early spay/neuter on long-term health. While we advocate for spaying/neutering to control pet overpopulation, we strongly advise against early spay/neuter practices. The final decision rests with you, but we encourage careful consideration.
Guarantee Limitations: This guarantee is non-transferable. To file a claim, the original owner who purchased the dog must still own it. Additionally, the dog must not have sired or whelped any litters. The puppy is sold under AKC Limited Registration, meaning it is registered, but any litters produced will not be eligible for AKC Registration. Dogs with Limited Registration cannot participate in breed competitions at dog shows but may compete in all other AKC events. In the event of a valid claim, our financial responsibility is limited to the original purchase price of the puppy or providing a replacement. All veterinary expenses incurred by the owner are the owner's responsibility.
Return Policy: The buyer agrees that if, for any reason, they can no longer keep the puppy or adult Labrador, they will return it to Zarate Labradors. Under no circumstances should the puppy or adult Labrador be surrendered to any rescue group, shelter, or other re-homing facilities. The buyer must immediately contact us to arrange for the return of the puppy or adult Labrador, ensuring it always has a home.
